Come show your support for Bennett’s Village at March 18 City Council meeting

On Monday, March 18th, Parks and Rec will be talking with City Council about our request to build an adaptive playground in Charlottesville.  In preparation for this event,

  1. please call Brian Daly, Director of Charlottesville Parks & Recreation, at (434) 970-3260 and leave the following message: “Hello, my name is ________ and I am a resident of _____. I have learned about Bennett’s Village and feel that my friends and neighbors who do not have access to the physical, social, and psychological benefits of play need a local, all-abilities park. Please show your support for these individuals and families by prioritizing the designation of land for an all-abilities park and help us create a place where ALL can play.”

2. You may also email the City Council at council@charlottesville.org and Mike Murphy, Interim City Manager at cityman@charlottesville.org to express your support for Bennett’s Village.

3.  Finally, we would love your support at the meeting itself.  Grab your Bennett’s Village gear and wear them to the meeting.  Do you have a personal connection to our cause? Sign up in advance for a slot for public comment to tell City Council why we need an all abilities playground.

Thanks for your support!
