Bennett’s Village appreciates our incredible corporate partners. These dedicated businesses show their commitment to creating a place where ALL can play with leadership gifts.
Mill Creek Orthodontics believes that your smile shouldn’t be a compromise and you shouldn’t have to settle for less. Mill Creek Orthodontics showed their commitment to the community with a $25,000 sponsorship of Bennett’s Village. This sponsorship helped Bennett’s Village meet the Perry Foundation match and raise the remaining funds needed for the construction of the treehouse. We are so grateful to Dr. Markus Niepraschk and Mill Creek Orthodontics for their commitment to inclusive play for all our community.
“As a local business owner, it’s important to me to give back to the community when I can,” says Dr. Niepraschk, who is known as Dr. Markus. “I have a son with special needs, and as someone who’s dedicated to helping people achieve their brightest smiles, supporting a project like Bennett’s Village just makes perfect sense. At Mill Creek Orthodontics, we believe in creating inclusive spaces where everyone can thrive and be free to be. And what better way to do that than by backing a playground designed for all ages and capabilities.” For more information about Mill Creek Orthodontics and its range of services, please visit millcreekortho.com.
Old Dominion Electrical Cooperative is an electric generation and transmission cooperative
headquartered in Glen Allen, Virginia that provides wholesale power to its 11 member electric
cooperatives in the states of Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware in the United States. Floyd Lively,
Plant Manager at the Louisa Generation Facility, brought the need to build an all-abilities playspace
to his company. Lively, whose grandson Wilson will benefit from a play space like Bennett’s
Village, says “My favorite part about working for ODEC in my current position is the pride I get by
being a representative of a company that has our local communities best interest at heart.
Sentara Cares about advancing health equity and ensuring that all members of our communities have access to the resources they need to live their healthiest and most fulfilling lives.
Bennett’s Village president and co-founder, Kara McClurken shared her thoughts about the grant from Sentara, “Sentara Health is dedicated to investing in their communities and this grant is evidence of that. The treehouse and accessible path is the first part of our plan to build a truly accessible outdoor play space in Charlottesville.”
