Help us celebrate Bennett’s 8th birthday!

May 12th is Bennett’s birthday. He should have turned 8 this year. For his 5th birthday, he asked his mom if he could have his birthday party at the ARC Park (now known as PLAY365) in Richmond. Not knowing it was the last birthday she would get to celebrate with Bennett, she told him it was too far away to ask his friends to drive over an hour. They celebrated (and had a great time) instead at the playground at his church with a Guardians of the Galaxy themed event (we are Groot!)

There isn’t an all-abilities playground in Charlottesville, but there should be. And with your help, there will be. The city of Charlottesville has donated the land, now we just have to raise the funds to design and build it. Together we will build a playground where kids and adults with mobility challenges can celebrate birthdays, playing side by side.

Today (and for the rest of the month), we invite you to donate an amount with an 8 in it to celebrate Bennett’s 8th Birthday! Our goal this month is to raise $8,888 toward building Bennett’s Village at Pen Park. You can write a check, pay online via GoFundMe, or use Venmo–for more information click here. www.bennettsvillage.org/donate.

Thank you for helping us build a place where ALL can play!
